Director Statement
PATAS is my second short film as an Independent Filmmaker and is really hard to find the right crew, creative people that want to collaborate in it and we had the blessing of find them. The story was based on events that happened to me, that affected me in a very important way. Having had a dog that became my partner and my best friend made me create this story and change my way of seeing pets, they are more than that, they are a channel of compassion, love and loyalty that humans would not reach to understand. This story was created because of my own pet, it was called Django and in fact he was going to play the role of PATAS, unfortunately he died and we had to postpone the filming date to find a dog that would reflect what Django was; A rescued dog and this is the story, I know that if you have had the great blessing of having your best friend with 4 legs, this story will leave a mark on your hearts. |
